Within the yacht community, there is growing awareness of pollution caused by even newer combustion engines. This is by far not only an environmental question but also a health and safety issue for the owner, guests, and crew. And it has an impact on the ship’s general appearance, as soot and particles from the exhaust cover surfaces and constantly need to be removed.
HJS provides the perfect solution for this issue to remove particles and NOx from the exhaust gas of both the main engines and the onboard generators. Much faster than repowering alternatives, as the vessel does not have to go to a dry dock, it does not have to be cut open, and even the installation time can be kept to just a few days. This means the downtime of the ship will be minimal and so will be the costs.
